Edit Office Documents Online

19.05.2009: Office documents can be edited in the virtual net-files data space directly online using the Zoho application without the need to install any software

Starting with net-files version 5.4, all users will be able to create and edit Office documents directly from their net-files data space. The new integrated online application Zoho makes it possible to create and edit Excel, Word and PowerPoint files directly from your browser without installing any additional software. This lets users get work done more quickly and easily since they no longer need to download documents to their local computer and upload them again.

Fast and Easy-to-Use

The main advantage of this solution is that you can open Office documents using Zoho Writer, Zoho Sheet and Zoho Show directly from the net-files data space and save them again. You can use Zoho to edit any documents that were created using Word, Excel or PowerPoint. This works in both directions - any documents you create in Zoho and save in Microsoft Office Format will be able to be opened and edited using the respective Microsoft Office software as well.

Zoho applications are now available free of charge to all net-files users!

Integration of Award-Winning Online Mind Mapping Software MindMeister

12.12.2008: Mind Maps can now be created and edited using the award-winning online application MindMeister in the virtual data space of net-files and does not require installing any software.

In net-files version 5.3, all users can create and edit Mind Maps. They are created using the award-winning online software application MindMeister, so no software installation is necessary. Mind Maps can be created and edited directly in the net-files data space, which means you won't need to download them locally in order to edit them. All viewing and editing is done directly in the data space.

User-friendly Interface with Full-Featured Functionality

The integration of MindMeister has expanded the functionality of net-files. "MindMeister is easy to use and offers a full range of features, such as editing existing Mind Maps document formats. 11.11.2008: It is now possible to login to the virtual project space on net-files using a biometric Internet passport from AXSionics AG

Starting with net-files version 5.2, all users will be able to identify themselves easily and securely using the biometric Internet password from AXSionics AG. The AXSionics Internet passport also allows you to encrypt any type of information, which will only become readable again after identification with a fingerprint. This feature also allows you to save your login information to other Internet services so that you can only access them after you have identified yourself with the biometric fingerprint system. This prevents any unauthorized person gaining access to your login information.

net-files version 5.0 enables net-files users to access their important documents without having to carry their Notebook around with them. Work colleagues, customers and partners can now use their Applie iPhone to access all kinds of documents in the central project space easily and securely. Not only does the new version provide web-based access over iPhone to the data files stored on net-files, you can also use it to manage users and access rights. Uploading new documents is made possible via e-mail.

The access to net-files over the iPhone is carried out with the highest level of security standards. "Providing access over mobile devices is still a huge challenge for many businesses.
